2010 will mark the 29th running of the City of Lakes 25K which was created, in 1982, as a middle distance trial for those running the newly created Twin Cities Marathon and other fall marathons, or for those looking for a fall, middle distance running event. In 2010, the City of Lakes race will again host the USATF-MN Championship Series finale. |

Course:
Makes two loops plus around Lakes Calhoun and Harriet in south Mpls. The race finishes at the Lake Harriet Bandshell. The 15.5 mile course is traffic free and run mostly on the parkways surrounding the two inner-city lakes. Each mile is marked and the water is available at least every 5K.

Splits:
1M, 5K, 5M, 10K, 10M, 20K, 13.1M and 15M.
Note: For marathon training purposes a half marathon time split will be displayed for all runners on a digital clock and times recorded for the first 100 runners. Times will be recorded to 3 hours. Clock will be displayed to 3 hours 15 minutes.

Finisher Keepsake:
All finishers of the 2010 25K event will receive a 28th commemorative, 14 ounce, glass stein.

Given to the top male/female finishers in the following brackets: 19-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70+.

Team Awards:
Cash awards to the first place male and female USATF registered teams. Team affiliation and USATF registration must be designated by team entrants on their COL registration form.

Cash Awards/Incentives:
Tiered cash incentive awards to the first male and female finisher. Cash awards to the first male and female master finisher. Cash award for any new state age group record set. Graded cash incentive awards will be paid to males running sub-1:24 and faster and females running sub-1:37 pace and faster. Click here for the details!

Entry Information:
2010 field limited to 1200 entries. Entries are neither transferable nor refundable after issue. Click here for registration info.
The 2010 early entry fee is $35.00 if received on or before September 3rd. Early entrants will have their race numbers and instructions mailed back to them via first-class mail the week prior to the race.
Entries postmarked received after September 3rd will be considered late entries. The 2010 late entry fee is $40.00. Late entries can be picked up on Saturday, September 11th at the Running Room, Inc. retail store located at 2801 Hennepin Ave. So. (in the Uptown area of Minneapolis.) between the hours of 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM; or Sunday, the 13th, at the Lake Harriet Bandshell area between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM.
Should there be any additional slots still available after September 11th, they will be made available for last registration. Last entry cost will be $40.00.
Note: MDRA members receive a $2.00 dollar discount. USATF members indicating there association number on their entries will be eligible for a $2.00 discount off the listed entry fees.
