2008 MDRA Spring Marathon Training Program The MDRA Spring Marathon program begins training on Tuesday March 4, 2008. The program is geared towards training for Grandma's or other spring marathon. The class has four distinct training groups to serve runners of all levels and abilities. It is recommended that runners have a base of at least 20-25 miles a week before entering the class. When: Tuesdays and Saturdays beginning March 4 - Saturday, June 21. Tuesday class periods begin with a run at 5:45 p.m. and are followed by a classroom session from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday runs are from various locations and start at 8:00 a.m. and move to 7:00 a.m. later in the spring. Where: Tuesday classes meet at the Edina Community Center for the first few sessions and later move on to other locations depending on the the training schedule and planned workout. Saturday runs are often from the Lakes but do get around to other locations i.e. River Road, Fort Snelling, Summit, Hyland. Cost: MDRA members $100, Non-members $125 (includes a 1 year MDRA membership) Registration: Online registration available or print off the registration form and mail with payment to MDRA, 5701 Normandale Road, Edina, MN 55424. Your cancelled check is confirmation into the class. Notes: Grandma's Marathon or other marathon fees are separate from the cost to join the training class.
